Sangameshwaram Lord Shiva Temple, located in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, is a unique and significant shrine. Situated at the confluence of the Krishna and Bhavanasi rivers, the temple is submerged for most of the year due to the Srisailam reservoir. 

It resurfaces during the summer months when the water levels recede, allowing devotees to visit and perform rituals. The temple is believed to have been constructed by Dharmaraja, the eldest of the Pandavas, after their visit to the Srisailam Mallikarjuna temple. The wooden Shiva Linga inside the temple remains undamaged despite being submerged for several months each year. 

The temple's location at the confluence of seven rivers adds to its religious sanctity, making it a revered site for devotees who flock to witness its beauty and partake in pujas during the brief period it is accessible.
