The Shri Kali Devi Mandir in Patiala, Punjab, is a beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. It was built by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh in 1936. The Maharaja brought a six-foot-tall statue of Maa Kali and a sacred flame (Paawan Jyot) from Bengal to Patiala.
The temple is located on Mall Road, opposite the Baradari Gardens. The temple is known for its stunning architecture, featuring beautiful murals and frescoes depicting scenes from Hindu epics and mythology.
It has been declared a national monument due to its historical and cultural significance. Devotees offer various items such as mustard oil, lentils, sweets, coconuts, bangles, and even livestock as offerings to the Divine Mother.
