St. James' Church
St. James' Church, also known as Skinner's Church, is a historic colonial-era church located in Delhi. Built in 1836 by Colonel James Skinner, the church is one of the oldest in the city and was once the official church of the British Viceroy of India. It is part of the Church of North India Diocese of Delhi.
The church is known for its Renaissance Revival style architecture, featuring a Greek cross plan, elaborate stained glass windows, and a central octagonal dome inspired by the Florence Cathedral in Italy.
The church also houses original European stained-glass windows, a painting titled "The Prodigal Son" by Italian painter Pompeo Batoni, and a rare pipe organ gifted by Ralph T. Coe in 1899.
