Tomb of Pir Turkman
The Tomb of Pir Turkman is located in Narnaul, Mahendragarh district, Haryana. The tomb-cum-mosque complex showcases a long tradition of architecture ranging from the Tughlaq period to British times.
The tomb and the adjoining mosque were originally constructed during the reign of Firoz Shah Tughlaq, with significant additions made by Alam Khan Mewati in 1357 AD.
The tomb is surmounted by a hemispherical dome, and the interior features some modern paintings. The pillared verandah (portico) in front of the tomb was constructed during the British period. The inscription in Persian verse over the doorway registers the date 1137 AD of the demise of the Turkish saint.
