Vantawng Falls
Vantawng Falls, also known as Vantawng Khawhthla in Mizo, is the highest and most spectacular waterfall in Mizoram. Located in the Serchhip district near Thenzawl, the falls cascade from a height of 750 feet (229 meters).
The waterfall is named after Vantawnga, a local legend who was known for his exceptional swimming skills but tragically died during a performance. The falls are surrounded by lush forested hillsides, making it a bit challenging to get close to them.
However, a viewing tower has been constructed for visitors to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The falls are about 30 kilometers from Serchhip and 137 kilometers from Aizawl.
