Established in 1996, the garden is home to a diverse collection of over 1,200 plant species, including trees, shrubs, medicinal plants, fruit plants, tuberous plants, cacti, and ornamental plants.
The garden features a well-maintained network of roads and walking trails, making it easy for visitors to explore and enjoy the lush greenery. One of the highlights of the garden is the Floral Safari, an android app developed in collaboration with the Department of Botany at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
The app provides detailed information about the various plant species found in the garden, including their scientific names, vernacular names, and uses.
