Arwal is a district located in the state of Bihar, India. It is situated in the Magadh division of the state. The district headquarters is also named Arwal and is a small town located on the banks of the River Son.

Arwal district was formed on September 1, 2001, when it was separated from the Jehanabad district. The district covers an area of approximately 638 square kilometers and is bordered by the districts of Jehanabad to the east, Aurangabad to the south, and Bhojpur to the west.
