Bageshwar is a district located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is situated in the Kumaon region of the state and is surrounded by beautiful Himalayan peaks and scenic landscapes. The district is named after its headquarters town, Bageshwar, which is also a prominent pilgrimage site.
Bageshwar district is known for its natural beauty and is often referred to as the "Mini Kashi" (Mini Varanasi) due to the presence of several ancient temples and religious sites. The town of Bageshwar is home to the famous Bagnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple attracts a large number of devotees, especially during the annual Uttarayani fair held in January.
