Deoria is a district located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated in the eastern part of the state and is a part of the Gorakhpur division. The district is named after its headquarters, the city of Deoria.
Geographically, Deoria is positioned between the parallels of 26°6' and 27°8' north latitude and the meridians of 83°29' and 84°26' east longitude. It shares borders with Nepal to the north, Ballia district to the south, Kushinagar district to the east, and Gorakhpur district to the west.
