Dharmapuri is a district located in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated in the western part of the state and is known for its natural beauty and historical significance. The district headquarters is also named Dharmapuri.
Dharmapuri district is bordered by the districts of Krishnagiri to the east, Salem to the south, and Erode and Namakkal to the west. It shares its northern border with the state of Karnataka. The district covers an area of approximately 4,497 square kilometers.
