Goalpara is a district located in the state of Assam, India. It is situated in the western part of the state and is bordered by the Brahmaputra River to the north. The district headquarters is also named Goalpara, which serves as the administrative center.

Goalpara is known for its fertile plains and scenic beauty. It is surrounded by hills on three sides, namely the Garo Hills of Meghalaya to the south and west, the Assam Himalayas to the north, and the Khasi Hills to the east. The Brahmaputra River flows along its northern boundary, offering picturesque views and playing a significant role in the district's economy and transportation.
