Jhalawar is a district located in the southern region of the state of Rajasthan, India. It is situated on the southeastern edge of Rajasthan and is bordered by the districts of Kota to the northwest, Baran to the northeast, and Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh to the southeast.

Jhalawar district covers an area of approximately 6,219 square kilometers and has a population of around 14 lakh (1.4 million) people. The district is divided into six tehsils: Jhalrapatan, Aklera, Pirawa, Khanpur, Manohar Thana, and Dag.
