Karimganj is a district located in the state of Assam, India. It is situated in the southernmost part of Assam, sharing borders with Bangladesh on the south. The district is named after its headquarters, Karimganj town.

Karimganj district covers an area of approximately 1,809 square kilometers and is divided into four administrative subdivisions: Karimganj Sadar, Badarpur, Patharkandi, and Nilambazar. The district is further divided into nine development blocks.
