Mandi district is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. It is situated in the northwestern part of the state and is known for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. The district headquarters is in the town of Mandi, which is also the second-largest town in Himachal Pradesh after Shimla.

Mandi district is bordered by Kullu district in the north, Kangra district in the west, and Bilaspur district in the south. The district is spread over an area of approximately 3,950 square kilometers and has a population of around 9 lakh people.
