Sonbhadra is a district located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state and is known for its rich mineral resources. Sonbhadra is the second-largest district in Uttar Pradesh in terms of area. The district shares its borders with the state of Madhya Pradesh and the districts of Mirzapur and Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh. The Son River flows through the district, providing irrigation and water supply for agricultural activities.
