West Karbi Anglong is a district located in the state of Assam, India. It was created on 7th October 2021 by bifurcating the Karbi Anglong district into two separate districts, namely West Karbi Anglong and East Karbi Anglong.

West Karbi Anglong district is situated in the Karbi Anglong Hills, a hilly region in the eastern part of Assam. It shares its borders with the state of Meghalaya and the East Karbi Anglong district. The district headquarters is located in Hamren, which is also the largest town in the district.
