The Aaina Mahal, also known as the Palace of Mirrors, is an 18th-century palace located in Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat. Built by Rao Lakhpatji around 1750, the palace was designed by the master craftsman Ram Singh Malam, who incorporated both local and European architectural styles. The palace is adorned with intricate mirrors, glass, and tiles, creating a dazzling effect.
The palace has two floors. The first floor includes the Audience Hall, Pleasure Hall, Hall of Mirrors, and State Apartments. The second floor houses the Darbar Hall and Marriage Hall. Today, the palace has been converted into a museum, showcasing a unique collection of European and local artifacts, including clocks, mechanical toys, paintings, and pictures.
