Built in 1562, this tomb commemorates Adham Khan, a general in Emperor Akbar's army and the son of Maham Anga, Akbar's wet nurse. The tomb also houses the remains of Maham Anga, making it a dual memorial.
The structure is notable for its octagonal design, a style reminiscent of the Lodi dynasty's architecture, which was uncommon in Mughal constructions of that period. This unique design is believed to symbolize Adham Khan's act of treachery, as he was executed by Akbar for murdering Ataga Khan, the emperor's trusted general.
The tomb is often referred to as "Bhool Bhulaiya" (labyrinth) due to its maze-like passages that can easily confuse visitors.
