The trek to Amedikallu is considered one of the toughest in South India due to its steep inclines, dense vegetation, and lack of water sources. The trek typically takes about 6-8 hours one way and is best done over two days. The trail starts at the village of Shishila and passes through a combination of shola forests and grasslands.
