Awagrah Fort, located in the town of Awagarh in Etah district, Uttar Pradesh, is a historic fortress built in the 12th century by the Jadon rulers of the Kshatriya clan after migrating from Karauli. The fort covers around 108 acres and is situated on a small mound surrounded by a large moat, offering a scenic and tranquil setting among lush green fields. It has been a symbol of royal heritage with architectural features including high walls, bastions, a moat, a palace, a mosque, and several temples inside.
The fort played an important role in regional history and was involved in battles with the Mughals and British but was never captured.
