Baba Nahar Singh Ji Temple, located in Dholra near Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Baba Nahar Singh, who is believed to be an incarnation of God. The temple is situated on the banks of the Gobind Sagar Lake, adding to its serene and picturesque surroundings.
According to legend, when King Deep Chand of Bilaspur married a princess from Kullu, the queen fell ill and suffered from spells of unconsciousness. It was believed that the idol of Baba Nahar Singh, who was the patron deity of Naggar, the erstwhile capital of Kullu, needed to be installed in the new state with all religious rituals.
Thus, Raja Deep Chand built the temple at Dholra and placed Baba Nahar Singh's wooden slippers (Kharaun) in the temple as a symbol.
