Bojjanna Konda
Bojjannakonda is a significant Buddhist heritage site located near the village of Sankaram in the Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh, close to Visakhapatnam. The site, dating back to between the 4th and 9th centuries AD, features rock-cut caves, monolithic stupas, and chaityas (prayer halls).
The site is divided into two adjacent hills: Bojjannakonda on the eastern hill and Lingalakonda on the western hill. Both hills are adorned with Buddhist rock-cut caves and stupas, showcasing the Hinayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana phases of Buddhism.
