The Chaliyam Lighthouse is located in the village of Chaliyam, at the estuary of the Chaliyar River in Kozhikode, Kerala. The lighthouse is perched on the northern shore of the Chaliyar River and offers scenic views of the surrounding estuary and the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary.
The lighthouse is a concrete hexagonal tower with a height of 30.48 meters (100 feet). It was first lit in 1977 and serves as an important navigational aid for vessels approaching the port of Beypore. The lighthouse is painted with red and white bands, making it easily recognizable.
