Chau Chau Kang Nilda, also known as Guan Nelda or Blue Moon in the Sky, is a prominent peak in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Standing at an elevation of 6,303 meters (20,679 feet), it is located about 13 kilometers northeast of Kaza, the main town in Spiti. The peak was first climbed in 1939 by J.O.M. Roberts, marking a significant milestone in the exploration of the Spiti region.
The climb to Chau Chau Kang Nilda is challenging and requires a good level of mountaineering experience. The peak offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape and is a popular destination for experienced climbers.
