Devgad Fort, also known as Janjira Devgad Fort, is a historic fort located about 5 kilometers from Devgad town in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. The fort is surrounded by the sea on three sides and is connected to the land on the south. It was built in 1729 by Dattajirao Angre and later controlled by Kanhoji Angre.
The fort offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding area. Inside the fort, you can find a Ganesh temple, three cannons, and a lighthouse that was built in 1915. The fort is a popular spot for tourists and history enthusiasts, providing a glimpse into the region's rich past.
