Devi Dol
Devi Dol, located in Sivasagar, Assam, is a centuries-old temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. Built in 1734 by Queen Madambika, the wife of King Swargadeo Shiva Singha, the temple stands 60 feet high with a base diameter of 120 feet.
It is part of a trio of temples alongside Shiva Dol and Vishnu Dol, all situated near the Sivasagar Tank (Borpukhuri). The temple is known for its annual Durga Puja celebrations, attracting devotees from across the country.
The bolisthal, the most sacred part of the temple, is reserved for the worship of Goddess Kali and Durga. Nearby, a small Shani temple sees a large number of visitors, especially on Saturdays.
