The District Museum in Vidisha, also known as the Vidisha District Museum, is located in the ancient city of Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. The museum showcases a rich collection of Jain, Buddhist, and Hindu art, sculptures, and antiquities. It houses many sculptures, terracottas, and coins, especially from the 9th to the 10th century CE, as well as Harappan art.
One of the notable exhibits is a Yaksha statue from the 2nd century BCE, which is believed to be from the Mauryan or Sunga period. The museum also features decorated pillars, Ganesha statues, and Vishnu heads.
