According to legend, Guru Nanak performed a miracle to bring about this spring of water from the laterite rock mountain to help the locals who were suffering from a severe water shortage. The water from this spring is believed to have healing properties.
The gurudwara complex includes the Darbar Sahib, Diwan Hall, Langar Hall, and a Sikh museum that showcases significant events in Sikh history. There's also an Amrit Kund (holy water tank) where the water from the spring is collected.
