Hullathy, also spelled Hullathi, is a Gram Panchayat and village located in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, India, near Ooty. It oversees 32 villages spread over an area of about 2,729 hectares (6,744 acres), situated on both sides of the Main District Road 700 that descends steeply from Ooty to Masinagudi.
The total population is approximately 9,187, with a near-equal gender ratio, and around 26% belonging to scheduled castes and 10% to scheduled tribes. The area has a literacy rate of 68%, with a majority Hindu population. The economy is primarily agrarian, with many residents engaged in farming and some involved in tourism due to proximity to Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. Hullathy has several primary and secondary schools, a primary health center, and multiple smaller healthcare facilities.
