Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune (IIIT‑Pune or IIITP), located in Pune, Maharashtra, is a public–private‑partnership higher‑education institute established in 2016 by the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD), Government of India, and later declared an “Institute of National Importance” under the IIIT (PPP) Act of 2017.
It operates from a temporary campus near Bopdev Ghat, Kondhwa Annexe, within or alongside an engineering‑college precinct, while a larger 100‑acre permanent campus is being developed in Nanoli, Talegaon.
The institute offers undergraduate B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering, along with postgraduate M.Tech and PhD programmes in fields such as artificial intelligence and Internet‑of‑Things, with admissions mainly through JEE Main and JoSAA counselling.
