Isolated War Tank
The Isolated War Tank in Belagavi (Belgaum), Karnataka, is a vintage Sherman DD tank that has been lying on the outskirts of RC Nagar, beyond Guru Prasad Colony, on the way to Mandolli village. This tank has been there since around 1960, when the Indian army used Belgaum as a base station during the liberation of Goa from Portuguese rule.
Unfortunately, over the years, the tank has become neglected and is now surrounded by garbage, with bottles and other waste thrown inside it. Despite its historical significance, it stands as a mute spectator, fighting against time and the elements.
