The temple gets its name from the surrounding water, as "Jalakandeswarar" translates to "Lord Shiva residing in water".
The temple features intricate carvings, richly adorned stone pillars, and a majestic gopuram (tower) that stands over 100 feet tall. The temple is surrounded by a water tank, adding to its serene and divine ambiance.
