Jamwa Ramgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, located about 35 kilometers northeast of Jaipur in Rajasthan, covers around 300 square kilometers in the Aravalli Range. Established in 1982, it encompasses dry deciduous forests, rocky hills, and grasslands surrounding the now largely dried Ramgarh Lake, which once served as a water source for Jaipur and hosted rowing events during the 1982 Asian Games.
The sanctuary is rich in biodiversity, home to animals like leopards, wolves, jackals, deer species, langurs, and various birds, reptiles, and amphibians. The Banganga River flows through the sanctuary, supporting its ecosystem.
