Kanak Vrindavan Park
Kanak Vrindavan Park, also known as Kanak Vrindavan Garden, is a beautiful garden located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century, the garden is situated in a valley surrounded by the Aravali hills and is located on the way to the Amer Fort at the bottom of the Nahargarh hill.
The garden is approximately 8 kilometers north of Jaipur city and is known for its lush greenery and serene environment.
The garden was designed to resemble the Vrindavan, the place where Lord Krishna performed the Maha Raas with the Gopis. It includes a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna called the Govind Deoji Temple, which houses intricate marble decorations and a black marble statue of Krishna. The garden features a series of fountains, chhatris, and jali work on the walls of the temple, adding to its beauty and charm.
Kanak Vrindavan Park is a popular picnic spot and a favorite location for film shootings. The garden offers a bird's eye view of the nearby picturesque Jal Mahal and the majestic Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Amber Fort. It is also a haven for migratory birds like Neelkanth, spotted doves, and kingfishers.
The garden is open from 9 AM to 6:30 PM, and there is no entry fee. It is a perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and explore the rich cultural heritage of Jaipur.
