The Kanaka Bridge is an under-construction two-lane steel bridge located over the Kanaka River near Mantam Lake in Dzongu village, North Sikkim. This bridge is designed as an arch bridge and is expected to significantly improve connectivity for the 13 villages in the region, as well as for the Indian Army.
The bridge spans 255 meters in length and stands at a height of 160 meters above the river surface. It is being constructed under the Road and Bridge Department of the Government of Sikkim, with the project awarded to a Siliguri-based company. Once completed, it will enhance infrastructure and accessibility in this remote area.
