Kankrala is an ancient hill fort located in the Malegaon taluka of Nashik district, Maharashtra. It stands on two hills with an elevation of about 2,400 feet and is close to the village of Kankrala.
The fort is mostly in ruins but has several rock-cut water cisterns, a few caves, and remnants of old fortifications and structures including a mansion and a temple area believed to have housed a Shiva temple.
The fort offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and rivers such as the Mosam and Bori. It is accessible by a rough path and requires a moderate trek through rocky and sometimes steep terrain. The fort's history is not well documented, but it was captured by the British in 1818.
