Kharsati Park, also known as Karsati Nature Park (KNP), is a beautiful natural reserve located in the Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya, about 40 kilometers from Shillong and 5 kilometers from the National Highway. The park covers approximately 570 acres of lush forest land and was inaugurated on June 5, 1998, with the objective of preserving and conserving the flora and fauna of the area.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife and offers a serene environment for picnics, trekking, and camping. It features undulating hills, perennial streams, and abundant wildlife, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. One of the highlights of the park is the Kharsati Waterfall, which cascades down from a height of over 100 feet.
