Kothari's Patwa Haveli (Patwon ki Haveli/Patwa Haveli)
Kothari's Patwa Haveli, also known as Patwon Ki Haveli, is a stunning example of traditional Rajasthani architecture located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Built between 1800 and 1860 by five Jain brothers who made their fortunes in brocade and jewelry, the haveli is a series of five interconnected mansions. The first of the five sections is privately owned and has been converted into a museum, known as Kothari's Patwa Haveli Museum.
It offers a glimpse into 19th-century life with its richly decorated interiors, intricate carvings, and beautiful frescoes. The haveli is constructed primarily with yellow sandstone and features around sixty balconies or jharokhas.
