Lal Bagh Palace, located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is a magnificent historical palace built by the Holkar dynasty. The construction of the palace began in 1886 under the reign of Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar and was completed by his successors.
The palace is an excellent example of Italian Renaissance Revival architecture and is spread over 76 acres of land.
The palace features a grand entrance hall made of marble, a ballroom with wooden flooring built on springs for extra bounce, and a collection of coins dating back to the Muslim era. The main gates of the palace are modeled after those at Buckingham Palace in London.
The palace also once had a 20-acre rose garden, adding to its charm.
