The Marottichal Waterfalls are located in the Puthoor Panchayat of Thrissur district, Kerala. This scenic spot is about 20 km away from Thrissur town and is home to two beautiful waterfalls: Olakkayam Waterfalls and Ilanjippara Waterfalls.

Olakkayam Waterfalls is situated about 300-400 meters from the main road, making it easily accessible and offering a refreshing experience. Ilanjippara Waterfalls, located about 4 kilometers from Olakkayam Waterfalls, requires a trek through the Reserve Forest.

The trek is around 4 kilometers and offers a tranquil escape into nature, although entry to Ilanjippara Waterfalls is restricted by the Kerala Forest Department, and unauthorized entry can attract severe penalties. The best time to visit Marottichal Waterfalls is from September to February, as the waterfalls are dry from March to May, and heavy rains make June and July less ideal for visits.
