Mehrauli Archaeological Park is a vast historical site in Mehrauli, South Delhi, covering 81 hectares. It is located near the Qutub Minar and the Qutb complex, making it a significant heritage area. The park contains over 100 historically important monuments, showcasing 1,000 years of continuous occupation from the Tomar Rajputs, Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, and British Raj.
Among its notable structures are the Tomb of Balban, built in 1287 CE, which introduced the true arch and dome in India, the Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb, constructed between 1526 and 1535 CE, and Rajon Ki Baoli, a beautifully preserved stepwell.
