Nabalsingh Khanderao Habeli

Nabalsingh Khanderao Habeli is associated with the Sabalgarh Fort, a historic hill fort located in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. The fort was originally started by Raja Sabal Singh Gurjar but completed by Gopal Singh of Karauli State. It dates back to the 16th-17th century and was strategically built on a large rock in a region surrounded by natural defenses like the Chambal River and dense forests.

The fort has been under the control of various rulers including the Jadaun Rajputs, Marathas, and the Scindia rulers. Nabalsingh Khanderao Habeli was a notable governor appointed by the Scindias and lived in the fort, contributing to its history. Architecturally, Sabalgarh Fort is designed in the Rajasthani style with three main gates, multiple temples such as the Jagannath Temple, royal courts, and residences like the Naval Singh Haveli.

The fort complex exemplifies 18th-century fort planning, featuring strong fortification walls with bastions, multiple gateways, and water wells. 

Though now partly in ruins, Sabalgarh Fort carries significant historic, cultural, and architectural importance, marked by its association with prominent historical figures like Nabalsingh Khanderao Habeli and its role in regional power struggles.
