Nag Tibba
Nag Tibba, meaning "Serpent's Peak," is the highest peak in the Lesser Himalayan region of the Garhwal Division in Uttarakhand, standing at an elevation of about 3,022 meters (9,915 feet). It is located approximately 16 kilometers from Landour cantonment, 57 kilometers from Mussoorie, and 148 kilometers from New Tehri in the Tehri Garhwal district.
Part of the Nag Tibba Range, one of the three principal ranges of the Lesser Himalayas along with the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges, Nag Tibba is named after the local belief that it is the abode of Nag Devta, the Snake God, with a temple dedicated to him near the summit. The mountain offers spectacular panoramic views of the major Himalayan ranges such as Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Kala Nag, attracting trekkers and nature enthusiasts.
The trek to the summit is popular for its accessibility and scenic beauty, featuring lush oak and rhododendron forests, making it a favored destination for weekend trekking and camping.
