Nahar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Rewari district of Haryana, spreading over an area of about 522 acres (211 hectares). Originally pasture land belonging to the Nawab of Dujana, it was managed as a reserve forest before becoming a protected sanctuary in 1987.

This sanctuary is one of the few remaining natural habitats in Haryana and is especially important for conserving the endangered Blackbuck species along with other wildlife like Indian gazelle, nilgai, and various birds and reptiles. It also serves as a center for wildlife education and protection, with facilities like a fenced protection center housing rescued animals.

The sanctuary lies near Kosli town and is accessible by road and rail from Rewari and Delhi, making it a crucial green area supporting biodiversity amidst a rapidly changing environment.
