Namada Chilume
Namada Chilume is a fascinating natural spring located near Devarayanadurga, about 14 km from Tumkur in Karnataka. According to legend, Lord Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, stayed here during their exile. When Rama couldn't find water to apply tilaka (a mark on the forehead), he shot an arrow at the rock, and water gushed out, creating the spring.
Hence, the name "Namada Chilume," which means "Spring of Tilak" in Kannada. The spring is considered sacred and is believed to have healing properties. It's a popular spot for pilgrims and tourists alike.
