Spread over an area of 22 acres, it is steeped in history and legend, dating back to the Mahabharata era. According to the legend, King Pandu, the father of the Pandavas, attacked Rajgriha and converted the place into a horse stable. When he left, a depression was created, which later filled with rainwater, forming the lake.
