Qila Mubarak in Patiala, Punjab, is a historic fortress built by Baba Ala Singh, the founder of the Patiala dynasty, in 1763. Originally constructed as a mud fort, it was later fortified with baked bricks.

The fort is an architectural marvel, showcasing a blend of Sikh, Rajput, and Mughal styles. The complex includes the Qila Androon (inner fort), which houses 13 royal chambers adorned with scenes from Hindu mythology.

The Darbar Hall (Divan Khana) contains rare cannons, swords, and other artifacts, including the daggers of Guru Gobind Singh and the sword of Nadir Shah. The fort also features a guest house (Ran Baas) and an underground sewerage system.

Despite its historical significance, Qila Mubarak has faced extensive damage over the years and is listed among the world's 100 most endangered monuments by the World Monuments Fund. Restoration efforts have been undertaken to preserve this cultural gem.
