Rashtriya Prerna Sthal and Green Garden, located in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, is a sprawling memorial park dedicated to the Dalit movement and its leaders. Commissioned by former Chief Minister Mayawati, the park was inaugurated on October 14, 2011, and covers an area of 82.5 acres along the banks of the Yamuna River.
The park features the Rashtriya Dalit Smarak, a mini-museum spread over 33 acres, which houses statues of prominent social reformers like Gautama Buddha, Sant Shiromani Raidass, Sant Kabir, and Bhimrao Ambedkar. The park also includes twenty-four eighteen-foot high sandstone statues of elephants, symbolizing traditional Indian welcome.
