The Saketi Fossil Park, also known as the Shivalik Fossil Park, is located in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the most significant paleontological sites in India, known for its rich collection of prehistoric vertebrate fossils and skeletons recovered from the upper and middle Siwaliks geological formations.
The park features an open-air exhibition of six life-sized fiberglass models of extinct mammals, including a huge land tortoise, gharial, four-horned giraffe, sabre-toothed cat, large tusked elephant, and hippopotamus. It also has a museum that displays fossil finds and provides educational information about the prehistoric period.
