The Seetha Devi Lava-Kusha Temple located in Pulpally, Wayanad, Kerala, is one of the few temples dedicated to Lava and Kusha, the sons of Seetha Devi and Lord Rama.

A fascinating aspect of this temple is its legends and historical richness. It is believed that Seetha stayed here during her exile, under the shelter of the great sage Valmiki. This temple and the surrounding areas are linked closely to the Ramayana epic. The temple was constructed by Pazhassi Raja in the 18th century and holds significant religious importance today.

The site is renowned for its peaceful environment, and the nearby Valmiki Ashram further adds to its spiritual value. Interestingly, unlike most parts of Wayanad, the temple surroundings are free from leeches, thanks to a legend where Goddess Seetha cursed them for biting her sons, Lava and Kusha.
